A Parody
The 12 Days of Starcraft
(to the tune of "12 Days of Christmas")
On the first day of Starcraft, my Command Center gave to me: A really slow, annoying SCV
On the second day of Starcraft, my SCV built for me: Two supply depots, and a vespene gas refinery.
On the third day of Starcraft, my Barracks gave to me: Three mean marines, two Firebats, and a medic to restore vitality.
On the fourth day of Starcraft, my Factory gave to me: Four speedy vultures, three online Goliaths, two Arclite Siege Tanks, and I researched the siege mode capability.
On the fifth day of Starcraft, I built a Science Facility: Five psionic Ghosts, four speedy vultures, three online Goliaths, two Arclite Siege Tanks, and a nuke silo on the ready.
On the sixth day of Starcraft, my Starport gave to me: Six cloak’d Wraiths, five psionic ghosts, four speedy vultures, three online Goliaths, two Arclite Siege Tanks, and a sense of superiority.
On the seventh day of Starcraft, Bill began to attack me: Seven Zerglings wasted, six Lurkers leaking, five Guardians gone, four Mutalisks mourning, three larva morphing, two drones rebuilding, and an Overlord fleeing my Valkyries.
On the eighth day of Starcraft, I build a colony: Eight more mineral fields, seven turrets spinning, six siege tanks sieging, five upgrades coming, four speedy Vultures, three online Goliaths, two Arclite Siege Tanks, one step closer to a Terran victory.
On the ninth day of Starcraft, I look at Luke’s screen: Nine Carrier hotkeys, eight upgraded Scouts, seven angry Archons, six Dragoons creeping, five zealous Zealots, four shocking Templars, three Observers looking, two more mineral fields, and not a single damaged building or army.
On the tenth day of Starcraft, I’m as good as ready: Ten Firebats a-firing, nine Marines mobilizing, eight Siege Tanks rolling, seven Wraiths a-cloaking, SCV’s a-working, five Barracks building, four Vultures scurrying, three online Goliaths, two Science Vessels, and a Battlecruiser setting course di-rectly.
On the eleventh day of Starcraft, Tiddo attacked me: Eleven Mutalisks mauling, ten Scourges scourging, nine Queens a-spawning, eight Defilers consuming, Ultralisks a-gorging, six Zerglings intruding, five Overlords, four Ultralisks, three larva, two Brood-a-lings, and an infested Terran unbelievably.
On the twelfth day of Starcraft, what is left of me: Twelve Marines in mourning, eleven destroyed Siege Tanks, ten turrets flaring, nine Wraiths uncloaking, eight medics assembling, seven Goliaths losing, six Dropships rescuing, five more buildings!!! Four Firebats, three dead men, two SCVs, and another painful Deacon victory.
